POSITION PURPOSE

With a vision of “Together, we will lead the way as agents for action and sustainable change”, Aspen Family and Community Network Society has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to provide a range of accounting transaction services and reporting to support all aspects of the agency’s accounting and financial activities, with expertise and precision.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

The responsibilities and accountabilities outlined in this job posting may change as the position evolves along with the growth of the agency.  The key responsibilities and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  •  Manage procedures for all stages of accounts payable and receivable
  • Facilitate account payment processes for the agency and clients
  • Coordinate collection of accounts receivable
  • Leverage superior customer service skills to build relationships with clients and manage accounts receivables
  • Monitor policies and procedures for compliance and effectiveness
  • Recommend changes in practices as needed to ensure adherence to internal and external policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with leadership to assist with reporting requirements as needed
  • Carry out monthly review of the A/R and A/P records
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUISITES

This role requires our ideal candidate to possess at the minimum the following:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of experience in A/P and A/R
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of information
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel is required
  • Experience with Sage AccPac is preferred

Salary:                    Negotiable, depending on the successful candidate’s experience.
