Element Fleet Management Youth Capital Program

Internships & Mentoring Program

Approximately  2300 young people leave the child welfare system every year in Canada with the majority of these youth no longer having access to much needed financial and emotional supports.  These youth do not have the family networks to help them get the foot in the door that can make all the difference in launching a successful career.

HOST AN INTERN AND BECOME A MENTOR – CHANGE A LIFE

The Internships and Mentoring component of the Element Youth Capital Program offers employers an opportunity to contribute to the success of Canada’s most vulnerable young people by offering youth leaving care the chance to gain valuable work experience learning from Canada’s leading professionals and entrepreneurs in a field aligned with their interests.

HOW IT WORKS

Thanks to the generosity of employers like you, youth are matched with paid summer internships in line with their career goals, and are paired with mentors at their places of employment to provide guidance and support throughout their internships.  Youth selected for this program will be high school or post-secondary students and graduates. To match the diversity of interests among our potential interns, we welcome employers representing a range of sectors.

To express your interest in providing a life-changing opportunity to a young person who has overcome tremendous odds, please complete the application form.
